C5 Alliance are continuing to invest in people despite the economic slowdown to maintain their position as the leading Technology consultants in the Channel Islands.
Six of C5 Alliance’s Technical Solutions Team have just returned from the UK having secured the Microsoft MCITP Enterprise Administrator (EA) qualification. This significant investment in both time and money, plus the provision of some dedicated off-island time, resulted in all successfully transitioning from the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) status to the latest Microsoft certification. Microsoft’s statistics confirm that there are just under 10,000 MCITP EA’s worldwide and only a small number based in the Channel Islands at this point in time.
C5 Alliance Director Chris Clark added, “This re-iterates our strategy of investment in the team to deliver, quite simply, the best results and the best value for money for the benefit of our clients. There is no ‘learning on the job’ at C5, we continue to deliver the most complementary solutions, effectively. He added, the investment our client’s have made in the Windows 2008 platform is delivering significant benefits with the inherent Virtualisation technologies which enable a significant physical reduction in footprint and similarly, a reduction in associated costs in hardware, power and cooling. The beneficial pricing against similar technologies is an added, annually recurring, cost benefit".
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 is generating demand all over the world for skilled IT professionals who can implement this Server operating system. For Channel Island Organisations wanting to enjoy the benefits of Microsoft Windows Server 2008, C5 Alliance have already deployed several Server 2008 and worked directly with Microsoft on Hyper-V (virtualisated platform) implementations.
Windows Server 2008 delivers valuable new functionality and powerful improvements to the core Windows Server operating system to help organisations of all sizes increase control, availability, and flexibility for their changing business needs. New Web tools, virtualization technologies, security enhancements, and management utilities help save time, reduce costs, and provide a solid foundation for your information technology (IT) infrastructure.
Solid Foundation Windows Server 2008 provides a solid foundation for all of your server workload and application requirements while simplifying ongoing maintenance.
Virtualization Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V, the next-generation hypervisor-based server virtualization technology, allows you to consolidate servers and use hardware more efficiently. Several enhancements to Terminal Services (TS) improve presentation virtualization. And simpler licensing terms makes using these technologies more straightforward.
Web Windows Server 2008 includes improved Web administration, diagnostics, development, and application tools with Internet Information Services 7.0 (IIS 7.0), a major upgrade from IIS 6.0. Windows Server 2008 unifies the Microsoft Web publishing platform, including IIS 7.0, ASP.NET, Windows Communication Foundation, and Windows SharePoint Services.
Security The Windows Server 2008 operating system is hardened, integrates several identity and access technologies, and includes multiple security innovations to more easily deploy a policy-driven network that helps protect your server infrastructure, your data, and your business. |
